Class Description –
This class builds base skill that I have found that people desire in there leather care. The calls starts with what is leather and ends with a pair of shined shoes. This is a skill based class is built for both tops and bottoms. Half of the class is hands on.

- Anatomy of a boot
- Classification of boots
- How to clean boots/leathers
- How to condition boots/leathers
- How to protect boots/leathers
- This class is a discussion format, with several case study.
- There any no prerequisites to this class.
- This is a base class that will help people understand other boot related class.
- This is a Beginners class.
How do you envision the course being delivered?
- This class is designed to be done in a group of 6 to 15 people.
- attendees are expected to have a boot care kit.
- This class is designed to lead the student though one boot and self paced on the second boot.
2. General course goals/objectives
- Attendee should have a knowledge of what the differences between suede, tanned leather and finished leather.
- Attendee should be able to name 3 major boot makers.
- Attendee should be able to name 3 to 5 types of boots.
- Attendees are expected to have a boot care kit.
- This class is designed to lead the student though one boot and self paced on the second boot.
3. Outline of overall course structure
- This should be a 60 minute class.
- Half of the class is hands on.
- Class will deal with black dye, that can stain.
- Class will deal with fire as a tool and fire safety will be covered.
- This Class relates to Personal Service, House Service and Entertainment Skills.

- There are no currently no books that will help with this class
- There is a cost to leather care in supplies for this class the base Kiwi Shoe Shine Kit is fine. It normally cost 6 dollars and Can be found at a cobbler store or Wal-mart as a default.
